Remember That Thing About The Mote In My Eye And The Log In Yours? December 30, 2011

Mitt Romney was doing a lot better when he kept his mouth mostly shut and let Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, and Herman Cain make the stupid public statements that gave Jay Leno and David Letterman a reason to read the paper every morning. Now he’s leading in Iowa and some stupid handler has let him out of his sound-proof cage. Yesterday Romney, who is best known as a snooty, perfectly coiffed, blow-dried East Coast quarter-billionaire, compared Barack Obama to Marie Antoinette with her famous “Let them eat cake” quote. Coming from a guy who throws around $10,000 bets like two dollar chips at Bellagio and who comes from a party whose most rock-solid policy is the refusal to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans even one single dollar, this shows complete tone deafness. What a maroon.
