is, has been, and always will be a self-destructive asshole.I don’t know but, eventually high ratings or not, networks will stop hiring him.
I just hope he gets one stint on Fox before that happens so my blogmate explodes.

I wish Al Gore had kept Keith Olbermann on board just to prevent my blogmate from gloating.

HORRORS – WHAT ARE WE TO DO WITHOUT KEITH (AND I DONT’T MEAN RICHARDS) March 30, 2012

I’d like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV. Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I’ve been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract. It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatt’s “values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty,” I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employee’s name was Clarence B. Cain.

In due course, the truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out. For now, it is important only to again acknowledge that joining them was a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one. That lack of judgment is mine and mine alone, and I apologize again for it.

Celebrities Behaving Badly: DWTS’s William Levy NEARLY NAKED (Really) March 30, 2012

Let’s just begin with proof positive that we do not live in a fair and equitable universe:

And that’s not even the good one.

After about an hour of diligent Google searching, I managed to unearth the uncensored pics.  I’m sure none of you will want to lower yourself to such salacious and borderline pornographic pursuits, but just in case, here’s your link: WILLIAM LEVY’S JUNK IN A SEE-THROUGH MESH MAN-SOCK.  It turns out that this soap opera hunk did some underwear modeling prior to his stint on DWTS.  I want to hate him, but he’s an extraordinarily charming and humble fellow, he loves his wife and children,  and to top it off, he can really dance.  After release of these pics, Bruno will presumably be begging Levy to give him a ten, instead of the other way around.  I’m just sayin’…

Elsewhere in DWTS news, Jaleel White’s girlfriend has accused him of child abuse involving their two year-old daughter.  White’s response can best be summed up as “Did I do that?”  (Not really…he denies all charges.)

Ok, just to prove that I’m not completely gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that), evidenced by the opening pics, it’s only fair that I note that the Kardashians (tell me again why they’re famous) have a new line of lady’s swimwear, which they just happen to be modeling:

Anyone want to guess what the girls have dubbed this precious compilation of lycra and cotton?  Yep, the Kardashian Kollection, you kookie kids.

Also in the world of celebrity pics, Lady GaGa tweeted an image of herself without make-up:

Have a beautiful day!! on Twitpic

Ok, there’s nothing terribly newsworthy or remarkable about this, and in my humble opinion, she’s a rather attractive woman, with or without the frog hat or the porterhouse dress.  But if you go to the link above and check out the comments, it’ll make your skin crawl.  The unbelievably hurtful and cruel and malicious things people say on the internet don’t give much hope for the future of the species.  (By the way, where are all those malignant commenters on this blog?  C’mon critics, give me you’re best shot.)

Ok, just one last thing.  Gary Busey has shared with the world the revelation that there are no mirrors in heaven.

I suspect he’s just engaging in some wishful thinking, but what the hell do I know?

Really Being A Jerk Means Never Having To Say You’re Sorry March 30, 2012

I got a couple of comments from righties reading the blog on “Spike Lee Is Hardly The Only Jerk In The Trayvon Martin Case…”, one of which suggested that the biggest jerk in the whole thing was me.  Maybe, but this time I didn’t offend any of the spina bifida lobby, so there’s that.  The other comment claimed that Spike Lee’s offense was in no way comparable to Rush Limbaugh’s, since there was the potential of actual bodily harm deriving from Lee tweeting the wrong address for George Zimmerman, and Sandra Fluke was never in any actual danger (which is arguable).  But compare Limbaugh’s tepid apology along the lines of, “If anything I said offended anyone, that was not my intent…” versus Lee’s “I made a mistake.”  And Spike Lee went one step further.  He did what he could to make things right:

“At this point in time, we have come to an agreement with Spike Lee and his attorneys, and at this point, the matter is fully resolved,” Morgan said. “Spike has agreed to compensate the McClains for their loss and for the disruption into their lives. He’s taken full responsibility.”

The key phrase: taken full responsibility.  So who’s the bigger jerk?

P.S. I love the fact that the loyal opposition takes the time out of their busy lives to send me hate mail, but where are my peeps?  Come on, progressive readers…click on that comment button.
